The Human Rights @Lund blog welcomes contributions from members and collaborators of the Human Rights Profile Area. If you wish to write a blogpost, please contact us at: info@humanrights.lu.se.

A blog post should be 400–1000 words.
A blog post can be a popularised summary of an article you have recently published, a report from a conference you have attended or organised, a commentary on human rights related world events, a discussion of plans for future research, et cetera.
A blog post is not an academic journal article. The intended audience for the Human Rights @ Lund blog is academics, but also and equally professionals and students with a broad interest in human rights. Do keep this wide intended audience in mind when composing your blog post. Concentrate on your essential points. Avoid technical language or academic jargon. Write in an engaging style, e.g. show why the topic matters and how it connects to broader human rights issues. Use a personal or narrative tone when appropriate, especially in event reflections or field experiences.
Take some care in formulating a title for your post. The title should attract attention and encourage readers while being concise and true to the content.
We encourage authors to include:
- illustrative images or video clips but please do make sure that you have permission to use them and that you give due credit to creators.
- references and links to relevant articles (including your own), events, or news items.
- a takeaway or reflection at the end to leave readers with something to think about.
- links to your social media accounts and a picture of yourself. Share the blog post on your social media and in other academic networks once it is published.
